Must-Visit Streetwear Shops
Laundry
Located in the Alberta Arts District, Laundry specializes in vintage jerseys, sportswear and streetwear from the ‘80s and ‘90s. Owner Christoper Yen curates a sportswear collection including pieces from Nike, adidas, Tommy Hilfiger and more. You’ll also find house-brand clothing and throwback Trail Blazers gear.
Portland Gear
Launched by designer Marcus Harvey in 2014, Portland Gear is the unofficial outfitter for the city. Their Portland and “P”-branded shirts, hats and jackets make ideal souvenirs. Limited-edition runs and collabs keep fans coming back. Past partners have included the Timbers and Thorns, the Trail Blazers, Breakside Brewery and many others.
MACHUS
Hard-to-find designers from around the world are featured at MACHUS, a downtown Portland shop catering to style-conscious men. MACHUS’ overall selection has something for almost every guy (including drop-crotch, wide-leg trousers for the most fashion-forward).
Nike Portland
Founded in 1964, world-famous Nike is headquartered west of Portland in Beaverton. Swoosh lovers can seek out its latest shoes, apparel and accessories at the Nike Portland showroom downtown.
Cultural Blends
Cultural Blends celebrates all things basketball. For hoops fans, or anyone who loves basketball-inspired style, this shop is a must-visit Portland destination. You’ll find jerseys, sneakers and rare vintage gear, plus products from local brands — be sure to snag their classic “Best Coast” shirt, so you can celebrate the Pacific Northwest in style.
Wildfang
Women who frequent the menswear section for their preferred styles and silhouettes — and anyone who prefers a gender-neutral look — will adore Wildfang. Launched in 2013 by two former Nike employees, the brand (whose name is German for “tomboy”) boasts masculine-inspired pieces made to fit smaller and curvier bodies. Find expertly tailored chinos, blazers and bombers alongside muscle tanks, shirt-dresses and trademark “Wild Feminist” T-shirts at the West End shop. The shop also sells a range of shoes — perfect for giving patriarchy the boot.
Stackin Kickz
Located in the indie-friendly, only-in-Portland Lloyd Center mall, Stackin Kickz is a hit with every crowd: from kids to seniors, from born-and-raised Portlanders to hip-hop stars passing through town on tour. Founder and owner David Jefferson celebrates sneaker culture and much more at the stylish shop — peruse sweatsuits, jackets, hoodies, T-shirts, hats and other apparel.

Portland Shoe and Sportswear Brands
Portland is the athletic gear capital of America. Here’s where to shop for the best designed-in-Portland shoes and sportswear.
Portland-Based Online Shops
Can’t make it to Portland in person? Never fear — an abundance of Portland-based online brands and streetwear shops can help you rep the Pacific Northwest no matter where you are. Functional design, beautiful detailing and excellent fit are the hallmarks of Bridge & Burn — this industrial-style brand crafts clothing for all genders, and in true Portland fashion, they feature plenty of layering pieces like collared shirts, utility vests and rain-resistant jackets. Another elevated take on classic streetwear, Sleep Late offers top-quality gear that’s made to last. Their jackets, flannels, hoodies and more are designed, cut and sewn by hand, right here in Portland.
Since 2015, Otis & George has offered savvy shoppers a route to “being different, being yourself, and finding your own style.” Their collection of stylish apparel — including shorts, shirts, jackets and hats — will keep you looking your sharpest. Another long-running Portland original, Grafletics was founded in 2013, and has since seen its apparel become popular across the country (and overseas as well). Their comfortable, high-quality products often explicitly celebrate the Pacific Northwest, with an abundance of Portland- and Oregon-inspired designs.
